Hamburg International Airport
Opened in January 1911, and the oldest Airport in Germany still in operation. Originally covering 440,000 square metres, the site has since grown more than tenfold to 5.7 square kilometres. The main apron covers 320,000 square meters. The airport is 8.5 km north of the centre of the City of Hamburg in the Fuhlsbüttel quarter.

Madrid-Barajas Airport
Madrid-Barajas Airport is the main international airport serving Madrid, Spain. It is the country's largest and busiest airport, the world's 11th busiest airport (2008) and Europe's fourth busiest. It opened in 1928, and has grown to be one of the most important aviation centres of Europe. Located 13 km southwest of Madrid, the airport derives its name from the adjacent town of Barajas, which has its own metro station on the same rail line serving the airport.
